Eden Alene to Represent Israel at Eurovision 2020!

Over the last few months, Israel has been on the search for their next Eurovision star. The national selection has now come to a conclusion, with the winner selected from four finalists. The show was hosted by one of last year’s Eurovision hosts, Assi Azar.

Here are the top 4 acts from the selection:

  • Eden Alene
  • Orr Amrami-Brockman
  • Ella-Lee Lahav
  • Gaya Shaki

The final featured two rounds, with three of the four artists qualifying into the second round. The three qualifiers were Eden Alene, Orr Amrami-Brockman and Ella-Lee Lahav. In the second round, the artists faced a jury plus the viewers at home, with the votes combined. The highest scoring artist was Eden Alene, meaning that she will represent Israel at Eurovision this year.

The song that Eden will perform at Eurovision will be decided on the 3rd of March in another public selection. ‘The Next Song For Eurovision’ will feature four songs for Eden that will be judged by a professional jury and viewers at home. The winning song will be Israel’s Eurovision entry this year.

The 19 year old was born and raised in Jerusalem, with her parents originating from Ethiopia.
